Life at Remar

Life at Remar ... is getting busier

I now teach English to children, ages 5 to 12, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons
Help cook the evening meal on Tuesdays and Thursdays
General community cleaning, food distribution and cooking on Saturday morning
and meanwhile the homeschooling keeps plodding on.
Full but fun!

Living in community means that I now don't have to shop for food, or cook most days. I get to try different cooking styles and meals, and taste hundreds of different yoghurt varieties!

It means listening to the drummer while he practises in the music room next door - fortunately he keeps reasonable hours.

It means listening to the 30 odd children who live here play, laugh, shout and scream!

It means going for walks in the natural park which is directly behind the community.

It means equal measures of challenges and blessings.

Hello Dorien. I saw a link to your blog from Ally's (my cousin), we chatted last year on the phone - or was it 2005, when you came over to NZ? Time flies. Hope you are well. Would love to hear more about Remar, what kind of organisation is it?

Finally, I discovered that you are posting again! Hooray!

Sounds just like you said, an interesting mix of challenge and blessing. Praying for all the change and transition. God will use you mightily!
